Step I Study Schedule
As I have mentioned in previous posts, my study buddies and I study together over Google Plus’s video conferencing several hours a day, five days a week. Here is our Step I study schedule for the next five weeks. Since all four of us use First Aid in common to study, we decided to organize our study schedule in the context of First Aid. We each use other resources as well, which we share with each other during our discussions over each topic in First Aid. We also share with each other mnemonics we’ve come up with or encountered that helped us remember the material, as well as important topics or key points that we’ve seen in Step I practice questions. Here is our schedule:

Hi Benji,
It has been a real pleasure reading your blog over the past couple of days. I got accepted to AUC for the Fall 2012 school year and reading your experiences at AUC and St. Maarten has really boosted my confidence in the school. I look forward to your next installments. Good luck on the USMLE!!
Hi Deha,
Congratulations on your acceptance to AUC! I wish the best of luck in everything and thanks for visiting my blog! 🙂

Dear Benji: Did you do practice tests on the weekends or was it simply M-F schedule?
Thank you!
I studied everyday. I studied certain sections on M-F but on weekends, I just reviewed over what I covered.
Dear Benji: How much time do you have between last semester, USMLE, and clinical rotations?
Thank you,
Tariq
You are allowed one semester’s worth of time.
Hi Benji,
I will be enrolled in the September class of 2015. We do 5 semesters on the island. For the September class the 5th semester ends April 2017. You say we get one semester’s worth to study so you can write the USMLE until August but wouldnt that be too late to write in order to be able to get into clinicals?
You get into clinicals on a first-come-first-serve basis. Most people take 1-2 months to study. Most people do not take all 4 months to take the exam. Don’t take the exam in haste, but don’t drag it out either.
It’s been a pleasure studying your blog, I love the way u have bin about to quantify the big picture even in your study schedule, nice work making the connections
