AUC Culture Week!
It’s Culture Week at AUC! Block 3 is over and it’s not another four weeks until the next set of exams. This week will be very fun. AUC’s Diversity Council every year around this time puts up an “AUC Culture Week” in which the student organizations on campus host events that celebrates cultural diversity and medicine. Here are some cultural events that are going on around campus this week:
- The inaugural meeting of AUC’s newest student organization, Latin-American Medical Student’s Association (LMSA)
- Screening of “Transgeneration,” by Bisexual, Gays, Lesbians, and Allies in Medicine (BGLAM)
- “A Day in the Life of…” A talk about the British Healthcare System, by American Medical Students Association (AMSA)
- Screening of “Crash,” by Student National Medical Assocation (SNMA)
- Hamantashen Baking Event, by Jewish Medical Students Association (JMSA)
- “Islam and Medicine” Discussion, by Muslim Students Association (MSA)
- and finally, AUC’s Got Talent, the annual talent contest, with surprise faculty judges!
I love stuff like this, and I’m looking forward to go to many of them!
